Meeting on YouTube
Thaila’s YouTube videos have educated and inspired ostomates around the world. As Social Media Director for StomaCloak, I found her videos opened my eyes to the day-to-day challenges ostomates face. In fact, Thaila’s work recently inspired me to make my first YouTube video – an interview with Dr. Salisz created for the Drive For Men’s Health.
Thaila lives in the United Kingdom and this Summer she is getting married to her fiancee, Chris. I couldn’t be more excited for her! Like many of life’s mysteries, however, marriage can be a bit difficult to explain – until you have experienced it.
Story Telling with Country Music
Recently, I went to a country music concert that reignited my passion for the art form. Country Music is, at it’s heart, a form of storytelling. I can’t think of any better way to share the journey of courtship, and the many blessings of marriage, than through country music.
Telling Stories with Video
Although I enjoy listening to country music on the radio, Thaila has literally opened my eyes to the storytelling power of YouTube. So, in honor of her upcoming wedding, I put put together a few of my favorite contemporary country videos and highlighted a take home message from each song.
Somethings Like That – Performed by Tim McGraw
Oh a sailor’s sky made a perfect sunset
And that’s the day I’ll never forget
Falling in Love
Honey Bee – Performed by Blake Shelton
Forever and Ever, Amen – Performed by Randy Travis
If you wonder how long I’ll be faithful
Just listen to how this song ends
I’m gonna love you
Forever and ever
Forever and ever, amen
I would like to extend my very best wishes to Thaila, Chris and their respective families. May your lives be filled with health, happiness, and many, many blessings.
